Refresher Forklift Training in Derby
The HSE recommends refresher training every three to five years. A one-day course that re-tests and re-certificates experienced operators.
The HSE's Approved Code of Practice L117 says employers should provide refresher training at intervals, commonly every three to five years, and after an incident, a long break from driving, or a change of truck or workplace. A refresher is also the fastest way to bring an experienced new starter's paperwork up to date.
The course re-covers the key safety points, pre-use checks and the stability principles, then each candidate is re-tested on theory and practical. Bad habits are identified and corrected, which is where most of the value lies.
If a candidate's original certificate has expired or cannot be found, a refresher with a full test can usually re-establish their record. Ask us if you are unsure.
